About Hakuba Valley

HAPPO-ONE

Happo-One, positioned right in the middle of the valley, is the main resort in Hakuba with the most lifts. The hotel is located directly across the road from the Happo-One Gondola with the shops, bars and restaurants of Happo Village a short stroll nearby. Be sure to check with our friendly staff for the best inside tips on where to ski, ride, party and enjoy the village!

The main Gondola at Happo opens an hour earlier than all the other lifts. So you if you want fresh powder this is the place to stay! Happo-One hosted several events of the 1998 Winter Olympics, and it has remained one of the holy Japanese mountains for those who worship powder snow with their skis and boards. Happo-One has something for everyone from the complete beginner to seasoned veteran with runs up to 8 km long and an amazing variety of terrain.

HAKUBA VALLEY

The Hakuba Valley consists of 11 ski resorts that include every type of terrain you can imagine for all levels of skiers and boarders. With a huge average snowfall of over 10 metres a season, Hakuba offers plenty of powder days to explore over 200 trails and at least 9 terrain parks.

A free shuttle bus service gives you access to 9 alpine resorts. Happo-One is the central interchange point and there’s a convenient stop for our guests at the Gondola lift. How easy is that! Check out a resort with spectacular ungroomed slopes on one day, challenge yourself on an Olympic downhill the next and then relax at another on long, wide, gentle runs! The possibilities and scenery are endless.
